Gender-Based Violence Globally

Violence against women has been established by the UN as one of the most prevalent human right violations in the world. Gender-Based Violence(GBV) is defined by the UN as “any act that results in or is likely to result in physical, sexual or psychological suffering or harm to women whether occurring in public or private life” Thus, this includes all forms of sexual, physical psychological, domestic and intimate partner violence.
